. Alex Melbourne Three more players have agreed to sign up to Neil Tooth's Hednesford squad ahead of the new season. Right back Lewis Wright has agreed terms with the Pitmen to remain at the club for another season, joined today by Alex Melbourne, who returns to the club for a third spell after two years at Stafford Rangers. Stourbridge winger Matt Dodd is the third player to agree terms, with the 30 year-old former Leamington man becoming the eighteenth player to commit to the club for 2017-2018

Luke Rodgers with Thierry Henry Neil Tooth has been busy adding quality to his new Hednesford squad, and has today announced five new signings. heading the list is the experienced Luke Rodgers, who joins the Pitmen from Solihull Moors after a goal-laden career at Shrewsbury Town, Port Vale and New York Red Bulls. Young defender J'Cee Abraham has signed after being released by Rotherham United, whilst the experienced James Lawrie joins from Altrincham. James Wren Sutton Coldfield Town goalkeeper James Wren has become the first new face to join the Pitmen today, following Neil Tooth from league rivals Sutton to agree a deal to become Hednesford's new number one following the departures of Dan Crane and Lloyd Ransome. 23 year-old Wren has played for the likes of Nuneaton Town, Tamworth and Walsall in his career so far, joining Sutton in 2015 after a short spell at Stafford Rangers. welcome James

This completes a varied and busy pre-season programme for Neil Tooth and his side, who will look to make a good start against lower league opposition early on before they play the likes of Boston and Tamworth in a truer test of where the new-look Hednesford side will be ahead of the forthcoming season

. . The Pitmen have announced today their pre-season schedule for the forthcoming season, with a mixture of games against opposition from different levels of the game. They start in June with a trip to Boldmere St. Michaels and their 3G pitch, before making the short hop up the B4154 to Heath Hayes the following week. Games against Mansfield Town and Tamworth follow, before a trip to Southern Premier League side Merthyr Town on their 3G pitch in August, before finishing on the 8th August with a home games against a Birmingham City XI

. . Stuart McNaught The Pitmen finally earn their league double over an Ilkeston side in sire straits this evening the home side recovered from going a goal down to win comfortably.
